What the assessment covers
Yin Feng Shui is the discipline in which landform training matters most, because the reading is almost entirely a reading of terrain.
- Site selection — identifying suitable ground within a cemetery or memorial park, rather than accepting whatever plot is offered.
- Surrounding landform — the shape, position and character of hills and slopes around the site.
- Water course — how water moves in relation to the site, a decisive factor in classical assessment.
- Orientation — the sitting and facing of the grave or niche, measured on site.
- Timing — auspicious dates for burial, exhumation or installation, selected separately where required.
Graves and columbarium niches
Both are served. Traditional burial plots allow a fuller landform reading, since the surrounding terrain is directly in play. Columbarium and niche placement works within a built structure, where the assessment focuses on the building's own orientation, the position of the niche within it, and the landform the building itself occupies.
Existing family sites
Assessment of an existing ancestral grave is a common request, often raised when a family is experiencing a sustained run of difficulty. The site is read as it stands, and where an issue is identified, remedies or — in some cases — relocation may be advised. Any recommendation involving exhumation is discussed carefully with the family and paired with proper date selection.
Method and lineage
